10博十博中文 is working with the Town of Carolina Beach and the local historical society to develop schematic plans for the Joseph Ryder Lewis, Jr. Park.

The schematic plans were used to generate interest within the Town government for political support and to garner community support for funding and potential volunteer opportunities.

The centerpiece of this 12-acre park are the historic Sugar Loaf earthwork mounds that were used as a defensive line by troops during the Civil War. Overall plans include developing a walking trail and interpretive signage around the central earthwork feature.

Due to extensive existing wetlands throughout the site, 10博十博中文 has worked with a local structural engineering firm to develop an elevated boardwalk system to avoid impacting the sensitive environmental areas as well as a railing system to provide clean and uninterrupted views of the earthwork mounds and surrounding landscape.

10博十博中文 is currently working with the Town to develop construction drawings and details for the first phase of development. Plans for future phases include additional park elements such as interconnected walking trail loops, a gathering area for parking visitors, and opportunities to enjoy the view of a small existing pond on the site.
